MOTD (Makeup of the day) Less Is More!! – and a few beauty hacks!

Today I wasn’t feeling a lot of colour or accessories so I went for minimal- sometimes less is more. I combined a jumper with nude makeup and neatly done hair for a feminine but laid back look. These jumpers of mine are baggy and perfect for days where I may be tired and just want to be comfy. It’s also England (rain!!)

So, my makeup..

I used the Mac Prep and Prime Skin Base Visage followed by Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation in Cashew, which I actually think is slightly too orange for my face so I may have to see the lovely girls at the Estée Lauder counter for another colour match.

For concealer I used L’Oreal Le Concealer True Match which I have in a few different shades and I mix and match whichever I use,

For my eyes I used the original urban decay primer potion followed by my forever amazing naked palette which is my go-to for everyday effortless eye makeup.

I’m going to share another beauty hack with you now which is soooo simple but amazing and I know so many makeup artists that do this- use sellotape as a guideline for a super slick eye shadow line and straight eye liner flick. Cheap but very effective.

For my nose and cheeks I used the smash box contour trio sticks and then I used an Ideal Luminous Avon blusher in “russet” which works really well on the hollows of my cheekbones.

The lipstick is MAC velvet teddy along with a Nude Pink Collection lip liner- they go together really well. The highlighter is Mac Global Glow (my fave).

The mascara is MAC false lash effect and the lashes are Eyelure. When I was younger I always used to forget to trim the lashes which is crazy and I don’t even know how I even wore them so make sure you do this.

Voila! Done.
